Video and full text of Sister Dede Byrne’s speech: Even as our cities burn, it’s not insignificant that tens of millions watched this

The only quibble is her assertion that the Blessed Virgin Mary was an “unwed mother.” Nope. But this really is worth four minutes of your time.

Good evening. I am Sister Dede Byrne, and I belong to the Community of the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Last Fourth of July, I was honored to be one of the president’s guests at his Salute to America celebration. I must confess that I recently prayed while in chapel, begging God to allow me to be a voice, an instrument for human life. And now here I am, speaking at the Republican National Convention. I guess you’d better be careful what you pray for.

My journey to religious life was not a traditional route, if there is such a thing. In 1978, as a medical school student at Georgetown University, I joined the Army to help pay for my tuition, and ended up devoting 29 years to the military, serving as a doctor and a surgeon in places like Afghanistan and Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. After much prayer and contemplation, I entered my religious order in 2002, working to serve the poor and the sick in Haiti, Sudan, Kenya, Iraq and in Washington, D.C.

Humility is at the foundation of our order, which makes it very difficult to talk about myself. But I can speak about my experience working for those fleeing war-torn and impoverished countries all around the world. Those refugees all share a common experience. They have all been marginalized, viewed as insignificant, powerless and voiceless.

And while we tend to think of the marginalized as living beyond our borders, the truth is the largest marginalized group in the world can be found here in the United States. They are the unborn.

As Christians, we first met Jesus as a stirring embryo in the womb of an unwed mother and saw him born nine months later in the poverty of the cave. It is no coincidence that Jesus stood up for what was just and was ultimately crucified because what he said was not politically correct or fashionable. As followers of Christ, we are called to stand up for life against the politically correct or fashionable of today.

We must fight against a legislative agenda that supports and even celebrates destroying life in the womb. Keep in mind, the laws we create define how we see our humanity. We must ask ourselves: What we are saying when we go into a womb and snuff out an innocent, powerless, voiceless life?

As a physician, I can say without hesitation: Life begins at conception. While what I have to say may be difficult for some to hear, I am saying it because I am not just pro-life, I am pro-eternal life. I want all of us to end up in heaven together someday.

Which brings me to why I am here today. Donald Trump is the most pro-life president this nation has ever had, defending life at all stages. His belief in the sanctity of life transcends politics. President Trump will stand up against Biden/Harris, who are the most anti-life presidential ticket ever, even supporting the horrors of late-term abortion and infanticide. Because of his courage and conviction, President Trump has earned the support of America’s pro-life community. Moreover, he has a nationwide of religious standing behind him. You’ll find us here with our weapon of choice, the rosary. Thank you, Mr. President, we are all praying for you.

  1. First, look at these two photos: Benedict XVI with Bergoglio in Castel Gandolfo* on March 23, 2013 and Donald and Melanie Trump at the St. John Paul II National Shrine** on June 2, 2020.

Have you already noticed this outstanding artefact common to these two photos? Yes, just like that: the ruler of the Roman Catholic Church and the most powerful ruler of the world kneel before Our Lady in the form of the ancient icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa or from Jasna Góra (Claromontana). The President of the USA knelt before Claromontana’ Icon in the National Shrine of JPII, the Pope from Poland.
Is this just a coincidence? No, because the fate of the Church and the world is in the hands of the Queen of Poland.
President Trump’s prayer before Claromontana Icon [on June 2] reached not only the ears but also the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In response, the Queen of Poland sent her ambassador in the person of Sister Deidre Byrne to the Republican National Convention ‘2020. Our Lady, through this daughter of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, demanded to save America an end to infanticide and to pray the Holy Rosary. Sister Deidre gave this speech on August 26, which is the solemnity of Our Lady of Jasna Góra. She gave this speech at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium, Washington D.C. The auditorium was renamed the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in 1987 to honor Secretary of the Treasury Andrew W. Mellon. The real treasure of the USA is the Immaculate Virgin Mary, to whom this state was dedicated in the Lord’s Year 1846. Andrew W. Mellon died on August 26, 1937, the solemnity of Our Lady of Claromontana, but he left this spiritual treasure of America intact. This treasure is available for the taking!

  2. Beloved NVP: Your caveat mistaken. When with Mary’s Fiat we *first* hear of Jesus, as the good sister carefully observed, His mother was still unwed.

    1. Note the words, “Joseph, her husband:” He was already her husband at the annunciation. Not engaged, husband.

And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. So all the generations, from Abraham to David, are fourteen generations. And from David to the transmigration of Babylon, are fourteen generations: and from the transmigration of Babylon to Christ are fourteen generations. Now the generation of Christ was in this wise. When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child, of the Holy Ghost. Whereupon Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing publicly to expose her, was minded to put her away privately. But while he thought on these things, behold the angel of the Lord appeared to him in his sleep, saying: Joseph, son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her, is of the Holy Ghost.
      Matt 1:16-20
