Stop being shocked and appalled; Matthew was kind enough to lay it all out for you beforehand

For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be. And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him. For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. Behold I have told it to you, beforehand. Matt 24:21-25

For the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened. Why? Because God, being both perfect mercy and perfect justice, will ultimately force Himself upon the scene.  Why? Because the gravity, depth and invasiveness of the deception will be so complete, that even the most devout among the faithful would ultimately lose their faith over it. So there will come a point where it becomes so bad, God will override His own mandate concerning the sanctity of free will, because His perfect mercy and perfect justice demand it.
And no, we are not even close to this happening yet.
So stop being surprised, shocked, appalled, worried, uncertain, LUKEWARM. You’ve got the script laid out right in front of you.  Adjust your bearing, and put on the armor of God.
To help you visualize, think about the scene in Aliens where Ripley, who has already been a total bad ass for the past two hours, gets on the elevator to go down into the reactor core to save Newt. She saddles up, checks her gear, closes her eyes and takes a deep recollective breath. The moment she opens her eyes, you know it’s Game On.
That’s called rebooting your brain – adjusting your bearing such that every fiber of your being, natural and supernatural, is focused on singularity of mission.
Do that.
